Yesterday was a great night for Woman'sBack®! We were finalists in the 2019 edition of the SpinUOC, an entrepreneurship competition aimed at the UOC-linked community, and yesterday we presented the project competing with seven other finalists at the fully-featured Damm Old Star Factory. Many illusions on the part of the contestants and much expectation on the part of the whole world to know more about the selected projects from more than two hundred.
Lali Costa, our Global Manager, jumped on stage and fluently , solidity and sympathy presented how Woman'sBack® had emerged and, above all, what it was becoming. Lali reminded us of the origin of our project and our desire to help the maximum number of women to return to an active life after breast cancer.
During the speech, we wanted to remember some important things for us, which have taken us here and helped us to be who we are. Our project is a project driven and led by women for women, to make invisible situations more visible. We know that post treatment is difficult and that there are not enough tools to return to a normal life. With Woman’s Back® we want to reinforce this idea. We want to remember that women who have overcome breast cancer return more strongly than ever and that this is their identity.
After many months of work, we could finally share with other entrepreneurs and interested people in how companies can have a social impact our ideas and vision of the future. It has not been easy but the entire Woman'sBack® team is very excited about the reception our project is having. In fact, we were the 2nd most valued project in the votes of the audience attending the event.
Today we want again to thank all the people who have helped us to make this dream a reality.
